Jenna Adle, Manager of our Forensic and Valuation Services Division recently completed her first marathon. Determination, discipline and a lot of sweat went into her training. Jenna had the following to say about it:
“I’ve been training for my marathon for 6 months. My training began with completing the Columbia half marathon in April and the Frederick half marathon in May. During my training, I was also able to complete the Baltimore 10-Miler in June and the Boordy 5k in August. In addition to those races, I would run 4-5 times per week, which included one long run and one interval training run (speed work). I went into the race knowing that I was going to cross my #1 off of my bucket list once I crossed the finish line and I knew that 50% of the race was mental. I started at a slow pace so I could save momentum for the second half of the course (which is mostly uphill). Once I hit mile 20, I knew I only had a 10k left, so I began counting down from there. I finished the marathon with an official time of 4:52:47, which is an average pace of 11:11 per mile.”
We are all proud of Jenna and her accomplishments!
